MEETINGS, TREKKING, PUBLIC DEBATES AND CAMPING ON THE LAKE. This is the program of the Inseparable Relations Festival organized by Scuola Gea, together with Rise Saint James, Emmaus Italy and Even Numbers Network who share the urgency of cooperating to promote and spread the vision, culture, languages, proposals and practices related to Ecological, Environmental and Social Justice.

The idea of ​​the Festival was born from the need to offer high-level training on Integral Ecology, capable of combining theoretical content, transformative practices and community dimension. A non-formal educational experience, completely free, designed for the new generations of activists in Italy.

During the training sessions, some of the main intellectuals activists who have been committed to social justice for years will take turns.environmental and ecological, with a global and intersectional perspective.

Among the guests, the 2025 edition of the Festival will see the presence of Sharon Lavigne, American activist, African-American and founder of the organization Rise St. James, awarded the “Nobel Prize of Ecology” in 2021 for her fight against pollution produced by multinational petrochemical companies and racial discrimination in New Orleans in the heart of Louisiana.

Situated along the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, the community of Rise St. James is in an area morbidly named “Cancer Alley” for its prevalence of petrochemical plants - about 200 - along an 80 mile stretch of the river. The mostly Afroamerican residential communities are interspersed with factories, pipelines, and storage facilities.

The Gea School wants to enhance the passion and commitment of activists regardless of their economic possibilities. For this reason, training, meals and accommodation in the Circolo Ricreativo Culturale “L’Isola che non c’è” campsite will be free for everyone.

To participate, you will need to fill out an application form. The Gea School teaching committee will evaluate the applications received and select them based on each person’s motivation, passion and willingness to continue their commitment in the territories.

Places are limited and registration will open on Saturday, June 21st.
You can submit your application until Saturday 9th August.
